Tyrian -- one of the best arcade vertical shooters (shmups) from the DOS era is is now available on your iPhone!

This is an iPhone port of Tyrian, an arcade-style vertical scrolling shooter for DOS, originally developed by Eclipse productions and published in 1995. The story is set in 20,031 where you play as Trent Hawkins, a skilled fighter-pilot employed to fight Microsol and save the galaxy.

Great port from the original game. Use your finger to move the plane around is nice and simple. Even though i would like it more if it made use of the accelerometer. Best arcade shooter for the iphone so far. Well worth $2."

Shmups. Loved by many. IFighter, Siberian strike, and one more. Tyrian, Tyrian is a shooter with levels and a survival mode. It has a upgrade system for both modes. The controls are, in my opinion, fine. Awesome game!"
