Laze can be played in any orientation, but I think it's most convenient to hold the iPhone in landscape orientation and adjust the source position with your left thumb/forefinger, and the beam angle with your right thumb/forefinger.

Laze is a strategy puzzle game designed to be something like pool (billiards). Study the angles, set up your shot, and see what happens. See how close you get; if you just need to make a small adjustment, or start over with a completely different angle.
In the easier mazes (level 40-55) you might be able to hit the target by trial and error, but with the more difficult mazes (level 85 and above), you'll usually have to plan your attack carefully.

- The colored bars are reflectors.
- The black bars absorb the laser light (reflect nothing).
- The blue translucent shapes are prisms (so they refract the beam).
- Sliding anywhere in the grey source area will change the position of the laser source.
- Sliding anywhere outside the grey source area will adjust the angle of the laser beam.
- Note: Touch farther from the source for finer adjustments.
